It’s great to see The Spacer Company’s Australian Made Conduit Spacers being used by Ultegra on the Zero Emission Bus Dept Transition Project.
Ultegra installed their first 5 x ABB Terra124 EV chargers for a bus operator’s depot at Capalaba, near Brisbane. The Spacer Company’s Patented Conduit Spacers were manufactured at our factory in Brisbane, saving transport costs (and time) for this local project.
Zero Emission Buses (ZEBs) is a program to transition Australia’s diesel and natural gas public transport buses to zero emissions technology.
New South Wales is converting its fleet of 8,000 buses to ZEBs by 2030 with Queensland is transitioning to ZEBs by 2030. South Australia is transitioning to low or zero emissions vehicles over the next 10-15 years while Victoria is commencing a $20m trial into ZEBs.
The Conduit Spacers used at the Capalaba depot project enabled the conduit to be laid within the trench with consistent separation. It’s such an easy, tidy process, as you can see in the photo.
Our Conduit Spacers are made from recycled polymer, aligning with Zero Emission Buses’s green aims. The spacers are designed to suit 100, 125, 150mm and 200mm Conduit, but The Spacer Company can custom-make spacers to suit any size project.
What a buzz to be part of the transition to zero-emissions transportation across Australia!
